Plastic Free Mothers Day Gift Ideas.

So it's coming to that time of year, spring is approaching, it's also the time to celebrate and give extra appreciation to the mothers in your life.

I thought it would be a great opportunity to put some of my favourite plastic free mothers day gift ideas out there. I've broken it down into categories so if the person you are gifting for is a foodie, loves to be pampered or into flowers and plants there is something for everyone!

For the Foodies

Food is such a great mothers day gift and there is so many plastic free options. You could take your Mum out for Sunday Lunch or Afternoon Tea, not only would you be giving them a meal off duty but spending some quality time with your nearest and dearest.

If you are on a budget then you could always cook for her! Or make her favourite cake, The Plastic Free Pantry is a great place to get dry ingredients from.

Pamper Her

Mothers Day is the perfect time to encourage your Mum to rest, restore and have a pamper! There is no better way to do it than with some Splash Cosmetics Just Rosey Bath Salts which is totally plastic free like all of our products. The Rose Absolute in it is brilliant for restoring your skins natural glow and soaking off in the Epsom and Dead Sea Salts is detoxifying and great for reliving aches and pains.

If your Mum prefers a shower then treat her to the Splash Cosmetics Just Rosey Sugar Scrub, great for exfoliating and leaving skin silky smooth.

Make Memories

Making memories and experiencing new things can be perfect gifts, especially when you are thinking about reducing your plastic waste. You could do a cooking class, go to a local zoo, nature reserve or have a cocktail making class. My favourite place for a cocktail is Clockwork Cocktail in Margate.

Flower Power

If your Mum is into flowers, then don't deny her, there are always options. Pop into your local florist and ask for them to be hand tied instead of plastic wrap. Alternatively you could treat your mum to a potted plant there are loads of beautiful succulents around at the moment.
